Some questions about Andy...started by siblings

In response to my sister's blogs (Jennifer's and Susan's) I am posting some random stuff about myself...not exactly sure what questions I'm answering so here goes something...or nothing:

1. I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was boring then. It's almost hip now...for Indiana.

2. My best friend when I was little was a kid was Nikki Ingrisano and then Jason Beehler.

3. Proudest childhood moment? I won a science fair using some experiment I got out of a book but I did a good enough job that I got to skip school one day to go to the regionals at the Butler Fieldhouse. I left early b4 the awards assuming I had won nothing. I was wrong but whatever I won wasn't very memorable. My genius cousin won something big though, I remember that. I also won a Haiku contest once in 4th grade but that's b/c I got mine out of the Encyclopedia and changed one word. The hung it up in the hall for awhile. I got over the guilt pretty quick.

4. My favorite Crayola crayon color is some sort of dark blue. Haven't used them in awhile. Which explains my grumpiness.

5. Fondest childhood memory? Trips to King's Island (purchased by corporate america and never to be visited again) and riding the Smurf's ride...sleeping in and watching cartoons in the basement with my brother during the summer b/c it's a constant 63 degrees in our basement (very cave-like), going to visit some caves in Kentucky with my dad and brother...just the guys.

6. My perfect day would be a Sunday, skipping church but reading some Scripture or a good book while lounging around with my wife, my son and some really, really good coffee. Then going to see the Colts play and beat the Patriots (and I'd videotape it so their coach could have TWO copies of the game, one from my side and one from his). Then I'd take my wife out to dinner at Spezia (the old one, not the new one) and then we'd watch our son sleep until we joined him.

I'm guessing my brother ben is next in the list of kids who have to do this...but I'm not even sure he has a blog. He should...he's the kid with the strongest opinions of all of us. Love ya bro.

A new days and new jobs for the Traubs

Today marks the beginning of a several new paths at the Traub house. I (Andy) am now working for two of my best friends (in separate businesses) as well as developing my own business. I am working for my friend Greg who owns a company called All Around Surfaces (click the link to visit our webpage). I will be doing sales for Greg...visiting folks at their homes to let them know how we can help them make their surfaces even better. We just did our countertops with some amazing concrete material that Greg works with...see pictures here.

Job #2 is that I am now working for my other best friend Stan Graber at his company Stan Graber Financial. This is very similar to my work at Thrivent except that I am now working alongside someone with almost 30 years of experience in the field of financial services. I am very excited about this opportunity and we're in the middle of redecorating our basement so that I can have an office at our home.

Job #3 is a company that I am starting (employees - 1) called Traub Financial Coaching. I will be coaching people on how to better handle their finances through webinars (seminars on the web), one on meetings and telephone meetings. This is something that I am very passionate about and I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Here's a video of our morning for your enjoyment. You're lucky...it features my beautiful wife and handsome son. Have a great week and don't forget that Jesus is risen! That's good news!!
